Taste of Hanoi: A universal language!

Hanoi, January, l9th, 2025

Today, we saw how food can bring people from different corners of the world closer together! 🌍✨ We welcomed Ewelina and Maria's families, two close friends from Poland 🇵🇱 visiting Vietnam for the first time. In Hanoi, they met Jennie from Australia 🇦🇺 and connected over the rich and flavorful dishes of the city. 🍲🥢

Our group enjoyed every dish Cream introduced! Even the two kids, who their parents said were picky eaters, ate so well that their parents were absolutely amazed. 🤯🍴 Not a single bite was left!

Two families from Poland and Jennie from Australia

Let us introduce you to our amazing group: The cheerful girl with sunglasses on her head is Jennie from Australia 🇦🇺. Beside her are Ewelina, her husband Jan, and their 9-year-old daughter Dominika. On the other side are Maria, her husband Wojtek, and their son Tymek, also 9.

Here’s a fun fact: the two families are close friends because Dominika and Tymek have been buddies since kindergarten! 👫💛 How adorable is that? 😊

The group tasting sweet soup

When eating like locals, you’ll often end up in cozy little spots like this. Anyone noticed the motorbike parked in the corner? 😂 It might take up some space, but hey, Wojitek leaned back and used it as an armrest – pretty cool, right? 😎

Here are Dominika and Tymek giving a big thumbs up and flashing their brightest smiles! 😊 What could they be eating?

There is not a single drop left of Wojtek's noodle.

As for Wojtek... not a single drop left, literally! 😆 (Totally legit delicious!)

Chicken Noodle Soup Vendor

And the answer is... Chicken noodle soup (yummy)! 🍲 The vendor is carefully slicing the chicken to top it off. The broth is light, sweet, and full of flavor, while the noodles are perfectly soft – simply mouthwatering! 😋

Cudweed rice balls

Our group then tried a chewy and fragrant treat: Cudweed rice balls! 🍰✨

Banh gai

Since Ewelina is vegetarian, instead of the cudweed rice balls with meat, she got to enjoy a chewy, fragrant ramie rice cake filled with mung beans and a hint of shredded coconut! 🌱

Our group had a nice chat while waiting for the food.

In Hanoi, you can't leave without trying the delicious steamed rolled rice pancakes! 🍽️ While waiting for the food, our group had a nice chat. They were amazed by how Vietnamese people are so passionate about food yet still stay so slim, and always with a smile on their faces! 😄🍜

Sharing while eating.

It's always great when food brings people together and creates new bonds! 😄 Here’s a fun fact: Jennie has been living and working in Hanoi for a year now. As you can see in the picture, she’s sharing her Hanoi life experiences with her new friends! Jan also shared his perspective too! 🌟

Tymek is really good with chopsticks

Tymek is really good with chopsticks and he absolutely loves this dish! 😋🥢 He didn’t leave a single bite!

Dominika was totally loved the steamed rolled rice pancakes

Little Dominika was totally won over by the steamed rolled rice pancakes too! 😋🥢

cheers together

Let’s refresh our taste buds with some Vietnamese salad! 🥗 But before we dive in, let’s make sure we cheers together first! 🥂

Now it was time to dig in! 😋 Maria was capturing the moment as the two kids ate so well and looked absolutely adorable. 📸✨

cheers!

Their smiles were contagious! 😄💕

Birthday surprise for Tymek's

A special surprise today: it’s Tymek’s birthday! 🎉 We all sang happy birthday to him at the last stop of our tour, and there’s a Vietnamese friend in the corner of the photo joining in the celebration too! 🎂🎈

Sending Tymek all the happiness and giggles in this new year of his! 🎉🎂

watching the busy street

And with Tết just around the corner, the streets were buzzing with energy! 🚶‍♂️🎊 Watching it all from above and capturing the vibrant hustle and bustle was so much fun! 🎉

Happy food tour, happy tummies with our families and friends

And that’s a wrap on the fun-filled Taste of Hanoi journey with Ewelina, Maria, and Jennie’s families! 🎉🍲 A delightful adventure full of laughter, amazing flavors, and memories that will last a lifetime! 😄✨
