What’s better than a family vacation? A long family vacation with a sprinkle of adventure and a whole lot of fun! 🎉 Meet the Mads family from Denmark, who decided to spend their extended holiday exploring new horizons together. And where did they kick off this epic journey? Right here in 𝐕𝐢𝐞𝐭𝐧𝐚𝐦! 🇻🇳
It’s their first time stepping foot on our beautiful land, and we couldn’t be more thrilled to guide them on this exciting journey. 🛤️ They only had half a day to explore Hanoi, but with our customized tour, we made sure they got the most out of their time!

And here they are – meet the lovely Mads family: Mads himself, his wife, Arthur on the left, and Anker on the right. Oh wait, not the right corner of the photo though! That’s just our stamp master at work! 😄(We’ll catch up with him later!)
First things first - no trip is complete without some foodie energy! 🍴 Time to refuel with a warm, steamy plate of bánh cuốn (steamed rolled rice pancake).
And at this point, can anyone spot something a little odd? Everyone around us is bundled up in warm jackets, but the Mads family is like, "What cold?" 😎 The chill in Hanoi? Well, it’s nothing compared to Denmark! They were rocking the chilly weather in style, totally unbothered by the first waves of Hanoi's cold air! 🧥❄️
Back to the bánh cuốn – our family absolutely loved it! 😋Anker was there, blowing on the bánh cuốn like a pro to cool it down, while Arthur was cracking up, clearly loving every bite 😄
Energy fully charged, now let’s hit the road! 💨
On this trip, we took the Mads family to a spot where they could create their very own personalized stamps – a little something unique to mark their adventure 🖋✨
That stamp on the paper? Yep, that’s Anker’s masterpiece! Even though his shirt screams "sunny," the stamp is all about the moon – how lovely is that? 🌙
And here he is, the stamp master, back in action! This is how a stamp truly comes to life. Pick your design, and he’ll carve your name right onto it – and just like that, you’ve got your very own customized stamp!

And here's a super fun activity: exploring the alleyways where local families live. Hanoi’s life is wrapped up in these tight-knit spaces, with generations living together in small homes, sharing kitchens and bathrooms. It’s a beautiful glimpse into the daily rhythms of family life here in the heart of the city!
For first-timers, it’s truly hard not to be amazed 😍 The charm of these hidden corners, where time seems to slow down, is simply irresistible! ✨
The spot where the Mads family is standing? It’s a typical kitchen of Vietnamese families from back in the day, located in a traditional house over 100 years old! 🏠✨ A true step back in time to see how families lived and cooked in the good old days!
Mom is explaining to Anker how people used to cook back in the day. Feels like taking a trip through time to the old culinary ways! 🍳👩🍳
That rice grinder you see? Super heavy! 💪 And Mads’s family took turns testing their strength. 😄
Anker gets a solid 10 for enthusiasm, but being a little one, our grinder might have been a bit too much for him to handle! 😅
On the other hand, dad and big brother Arthur totally knocked it out of the park! 💥😎
The truth is, Arthur may only be 7 years old, but he’s super strong! 💪 Just look at how effortlessly he lifts Anker! 😄 It’s no surprise he could handle turning that heavy rice grinder with ease!
Feeling a bit tired? Time to recharge with some vitamin food! 🍽️ What you’re looking at here is bánh gối – warm, crispy, and absolutely delicious! 😋
Eating it hot is definitely the best way to enjoy it! 🔥 But be careful, it's so crispy and delicious that you might just burn your mouth if you're not careful! 😅
After a full belly, cruising around the Old Quarter by cyclo is the perfect way to go! 🚲💨 The weather in Hanoi is just perfect right now, and oh, it’s absolutely delightful! 😍
Say hello to our guide, Cream! 👋
It was a bit rainy at the moment, and Cream was totally surprised when Anker’s mom mentioned that in Denmark, rain is just part of everyday life 🌧️ So, for the Mads family, a little drizzle was no big deal at all! 😄
Here comes the super exciting part! 🎨 The art challenge! Can anyone guess what’s in the hands of these two little artists? 👀✨
Ding dong! It’s a bamboo dragonfly! 🪁 While Mads and his wife are painting conical hats, our lovely kids will be adding some colorful touches to these little dragonflies! 🎨✨ How cute is that?
Look at Arthur’s attention to detail! 🎨 He even added some extra patterns to the wings of the dragonfly! 🪁 So creative and precise – what an artist!
The whole family is so focused, creating some truly amazing masterpieces! 🎨✨
While waiting for the paint to dry, our boys lean on dad for a bit of energy boost – too cute, right? 😍💖
And tada! Here are our finished creations! Aren’t they beautiful? 😍 Each carrying a special piece of Vietnam’s charm and creativity - what a perfect keepsake to remember this adventure! 🇻🇳✨
